Emily was born in London and trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
Theatre includes: Margaret in Dear Brutus, Chiffon in Little Shop of Horrors and Leila in Rope (Pitlochry Festival Theatre); Pixy in Peek a Boo (London International Theatre Festival); Anna in Lost and Found (Theatre503); Lucy in Guess How Much I Love You (number one UK tour - Rose Theatre, Kingston); Mary in The Haunting (number one UK tour - Bill Kenwright); Princess Jasmine in Aladdin (South Hill Park) and Asia Osbourne in ‘Ave It! (Old Vic Tunnels).
Her short film Snail in a Woman’s Skin was shown at the Shooting Wall Festival in Philadelphia. Her film Chit Chat Click was nominated for Best Short at the London Young Film Festival and won Best Short at the Purbeck Film Festival.
She won the 18th annual Leon Sinden Award at the Pitlochry Festival Theatre for Best Supporting Actress. Emily received the award for her portrayal of Margaret
in Dear Brutus. She recently worked for a second time with Elastic Future and the London International Theatre Festival in a show called Longitude. This was a digital art piece co-commissioned by BBC’s The Space. The show was rehearsed and performed entirely online using Google Hangouts with actors on location in London, Barcelona and Lagos. The show was also shown at the
Tate Modern in London.
She is delighted to be joining the cast of Birdsong. She would like to dedicate her performance to the memory of Lieutenant Paul Mervis.
